Hello, and welcome! Thank you for stumbling upon my “About Me” section where I have the opportunity to tell you all about myself and you just get to listen! It’s not everyday that I get to go on and on about the wonderful things that make me, me! So thank you for that, and here I go… I am originally from Kamloops, BC and still consider this to be my home. After graduating from high school I went to the University of Victoria and earned my BA in English. I absolutely loved Victoria and think it is incredibly beautiful there! I highly encourage anyone that has not been to Vancouver Island to go check it out! It is truly one of the most breathtaking areas of BC…in my very humble opinion. Upon completing my BA I travelled to Ireland with two of my best friends. We lived here for three months and travelled to 10 countries within Europe. It was the greatest experience of my life! I cherish the opportunity of being able to travel. I think that travelling and seeing new places, meeting new people, and experiencing new cultures is the most valuable way of learning about our world. Soon after my return to Canada I began my next adventure of learning to become a teacher! I am honored to say that I am working toward my BEd at the University of Northern British Columbia, in Prince George. I have met the most amazing people in my program, and have made friendships that will last a lifetime. I knew I wanted to become a teacher after my first year of university, and am so happy that I am now in my final year! I hope to embody the type of teacher that kids are generally happy to see everyday, that they feel encouraged and supported by, and feel safe with. I think that learning should be fun and based in curiosity and discovery! As such, I want my future students to feel excited by their learning and become life long learners like myself!
